Project Details
The Laxgalts’ap Wind project was borne out of a regional energy analysis conducted by Massif Energy for Boney creek Development which indicated the potential for a small wind project located in proximity to the Village. Boney Creek Development is the economic arm of the Laxgalts'ap Village Government. This analysis included several engagements with the local community including open houses, presentations to Chief and Council, and discussions with community members who indicated priorities around mitigating outages in the Village, creating local jobs, and reducing the burden of power costs.
Massif Energy is supporting the project's ongoing development which includes funding acquisition indicative designs and layouts, archaeological and environmental constraints analysis, and financial modelling of a potential project.
