Project Details
Historcially, logging has been an industrial staple of the Nass Valley, however over recent years the industry has seen a drop in profitability and less activity in the region. The Laxgalts’ap waste biomass project is working to identify how to increase profitability and create local jobs in the industry.
To date Massif energy has supported a feasibility study on biomass electricity generation and is currently underway with a biochar business plan to determine optimal value for the waste product. Activities include market research on biochar offtakers and value, operations modelling, regulatory carbon market review, and financial modelling of the project.
