LAXGALTS'AP CLIMATE RISK ASSESSMENT

Massif Energy helped to find funding and execute a climate risk assessment with the Village of Laxgalts’ap in undergoing  to identify actions required to address climate change into the future.

Noted risks include salt water infiltration up the river, warming of the river water, reduced ice for fishing and recreation, increased heat and sudden rain events, and adjustments to flora and fauna patterns for harvesting seasons.

Massif Energy is integrating the findings from this work into further design activities with the Village of Laxgalts'ap and it's economic arm Boney Creek Development.
